Zakat and sadaqah play a vital role in poverty alleviation, but managing them comes with challenges of sustainability and credibility. Credible institutions with integrity, transparency, and professionalism can sustain zakat funds. Therefore, there is a need for trained professionals in Shariah and management. This course aims to develop a cadre of certified zakat professionals for Islamic charity-based and not-for-profit organizations.
Awqaf creates sustainable entities governed by principles of perpetuity, inalienability, and irrevocability, offering a mechanism to generate resources for public benefits. However, the potential of waqf remains untapped for socio-economic development in Muslim societies. This course aims to develop a cadre of certified waqf professionals with Shariah knowledge and management skills to address this challenge.
This course on Islamic finance covers products, processes, and Shariah norms, enabling the design of financial solutions to comply with Shariah and identify Islamic alternatives. It also teaches how to evaluate conventional financial products from a Shariah point of view.
This course covers the digital economy landscape in Muslim societies, introducing non-technical blockchain and IBFTech's building blocks. It discusses use cases in halal supply chains, for-profit, and not-for-profit segments of Islamic finance, as well as Shariah and regulatory concerns. Sample IBFTech regulations are explored.
This course provides an in-depth understanding of building blocks for Islamic microfinance programs. It highlights that global microfinance objectives align with Islamic Shariah, with distinct characteristics. The course presents the Islamic approach as compassionate, allowing for-profit enterprise, and covers mechanisms, models, tools, and instruments of the Shariah.
